Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-semester, contract opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist (OT) specializing in school-based practice. This position is located in Taos, NM, and involves supporting students with various developmental and functional needs within an educational setting.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students as outlined in individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Conduct assessments and gather relevant data to inform treatment goals and strategies
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student progress
- Document therapy sessions and maintain accurate records in pliance with school and state regulations
- Adapt interventions to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to student planning
Qualifications:
- Valid state license or certification as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience working in a school environment preferred
- Strong assessment, intervention, and munication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage case loads effectively
- Detail-oriented with good record-keeping practices
