Job Description\n
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position in a critical access facility with night shifts and a NM or compact RN license required.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
- Work in a Medical Surgical unit within a critical access hospital
- 18-bed facility providing care to adult med/surg and telemetry patients
- Typical patient ratio is 1:6
- Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week (19:00 – 07:00)
- On-call duties required during the assignment
- Uses Evident EMR system; prior experience not required
- No floating to other units or affiliate hospitals is required
- First time travelers are welcome to apply
- Return travelers must have been separated for at least 6 months
- Any color scrubs may be worn according to facility policy
- No parking costs for staff
- Strict zero tolerance policy for marijuana; positive THC test results in automatic contract cancellation
- Personal time off (RTO) must be requested at time of application
- No local candidates accepted

- Active NM or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
- Minimum of 2 years recent Med/Surg nursing experience required; 2.5+ years preferred
- Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and PALS required (PALS may be obtained onsite during the first week)
- Pending licenses are not accepted
- Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility
- Two professional references required for consideration
