Job Title: Janitor
Location: Taos, NM 87571
Duration: 1+year (options for 26 weeks or long term)
Start Date: May 2025
Shift Schedule: 6:30 am-3:30 pm and 8:30 am-5:30 pm. 40 hr. a week.
Qualification
Education: High School
Experience: 2 years of past experience working in a corporate or healthcare setting
Responsibilities:
- Perform general cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and polishing surfaces in all high-touch areas.
- Refill restroom supplies such as toilet paper, soap, paper towels, and hand sanitizer dispensers.
- Collect and dispose of regular and biohazardous waste, ensuring proper handling and disposal procedures.
- Operate floor maintenance equipment to buff, strip, and wax floors, as well as shampoo and vacuum carpets.
- Follow infection control protocols and use appropriate PPE as required by safety policies.
- Handle emergency cleaning tasks such as spills, biohazardous waste removal, and deep cleaning requests.
- Maintain and secure cleaning equipment, report needed repairs, and track supply inventory.
