Job DescriptionMinimum 1+ years special education experience required.
An opportunity is available for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support students through the full semester. This full-time contract position requires a commitment of 37.5 hours per week, starting January 6 and concluding on May 30, 2024. The assignment is onsite in Arroyo Seco, NM.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction and support to students with special needs in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to develop and implement effective educational plans.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as necessary.
- Maintain a safe and nurturing classroom environment that promotes learning and development.
- Ensure compliance with all district, state, and federal regulations related to special education.
Qualifications:
- Valid PreK Special Education Teaching License.
- Completion of HB 128 Forms.
- Strong knowledge of special education laws and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively onsite with students, staff, and parents.
