This full-time position supports high school students with special education needs, focusing on math instruction. The role requires a dedicated professional to develop and deliver individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students learning goals, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing specialized lesson plans for high school students with disabilities, with an emphasis on math concepts.
- Monitoring student progress and adjusting instruction based on data and individual needs.
- Collaborating with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to provide a cohesive educational experience.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation as required by special education laws and district guidelines.
- Participating in IEP meetings and contributing to student assessments and evaluations.
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Valid state certification in Special Education.
- Experience working in high school special education settings.
- Strong knowledge of math curriculum and instructional strategies for students with disabilities.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage a full caseload efficiently within a 37.5-hour workweek.
Location: Ranchos De Taos, NM
