Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A rewarding opportunity is available for a dedicated Special Education Teacher specializing in high school education, with a focus on mathematics. This full-time position offers 37.5 hours per week and is based in Questa, NM. The role is structured as a contract for the school year, providing a stable and engaging teaching environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction to high school students with special education needs, emphasizing math curriculum.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to support student progress.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to create an inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor and assess student growth, adapting teaching methods accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records and comply with all state and federal educational regulations.
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification.
- Experience teaching high school students, particularly in math, is preferred.
- Strong understanding of individualized instructional strategies and behavior management.
- Ability to foster a positive and supportive classroom atmosphere.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
